Sherine Nabil, the founder of N37, has carved out a distinctive place in the world of design and events with her company’s luxurious, immersive creations. The name N37 is inspired by the symbolic meanings of the numbers 3 and 7. Number 3 represents creativity, artistic vision, and beauty, while number 7 symbolizes the achievement and fulfillment of creative pursuits. This inspiration shapes N37’s innovative approach to temporary spaces, themed events, and seasonal installations, captivating clients and audiences alike. For Sherine, design has always been a central passion—a medium through which she brings ideas to life. From interior spaces to graphic art, she has embraced creativity as both a calling and an “escape,” leading her to establish N37 as a brand that elevates the guest experience through carefully crafted environments.
Sherine explained, “Not all ideas are doable in terms of budgets, but over the years, I’ve developed a keen ability to blend creativity with practicality, transforming ambitious ideas into feasible realities. Even when clients prefer a more conventional approach, I strive to ensure my unique vision shines through in every project, navigating the balance between their expectations and my artistic aspirations.”
Sherine’s career journey began with a role in account services at JWT, where she managed one of Egypt’s largest clients. This experience was formative, teaching her how to build and sustain strong client relationships, an approach she has carried over to N37. “I learned how to deal with clients, when to offer them what they need, and when to propose what I see is needed,” she said. Sherine values making her clients feel “heard and as part of the team,” which fosters a collaborative environment where her clients feel genuinely involved in the process. This inclusive approach has helped N37 develop trustful, passionate client relationships that go beyond the standard transactional experience.
Among Sherine’s proudest achievements are her seasonal installations. Each year, she relishes the challenge of bringing fresh, creative concepts to annual events across different venues. Sherine said, “I never limit my challenges but challenge my limits instead, which leaves space with every project to always do more and do better. In terms of projects, seasonal installations are by far the ones that challenge me every year to bring out new and creative takes on the same events for different venues.”
In an industry constantly influenced by evolving trends, Sherine ensures that N37’s designs remain both original and timeless. She explained, “Trends are great for inspiration, but standing out within a trend is essential. The key is to always infuse your own unique taste and design identity. While considering trendy colors, materials, and styles, I always relate them to the client’s tone of voice and brand identity. From there, I explore all creative possibilities to achieve this in our own signature design.”
Collaboration is another cornerstone of Sherine’s creative process. She said, “Collaborations are crucial in our field, as they bring more power to an idea by involving creatives and partners who share the same goal of achieving the best possible outcome. For clients, we hold numerous meetings to discuss their brief and how they want their project to feel. I believe an installation is an art form that speaks without words, and it’s essential for us to ensure that the audience’s immediate impression aligns with our vision.”
The expansion of N37 into Dubai has presented both thrilling opportunities and unique challenges for Sherine. With the increased exposure and diverse client base in Dubai, Sherine is eager to push N37 into new markets and establish the company’s unique brand. Navigating a competitive landscape of fine design studios and production companies has been daunting, but Sherine is determined. “We are all set and ready to be your own very unique partner,” she said, underscoring her commitment to carving out a distinctive space for N37 in Dubai’s vibrant design scene.
Leading a team in the events industry requires Sherine to foster a culture that values creativity, quality, and attention to detail. She shared, “Being a family, we end up spending more time together than with actual family.” Sherine encourages open communication, frequent brainstorming, and a focus on quality, noting that “quality and having an eye to detail is extremely important for us as a team.”
Looking to the future, Sherine dreams of taking N37 to even greater heights. “I honestly would like to go endless places with N37,” she said, sharing her ambition to expand the company into new markets and, potentially, into the realm of permanent space design. Her team recently completed a major project in Cairo, designing an entire concept that she plans to reveal soon on Instagram.
