Tayba Al Hashemi is an accomplished energy executive with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently, she leads a team of 7,300 people and oversees partnerships with seven international entities to deliver half of Abu Dhabi’s oil and gas production, driving sustainable growth to meet global energy demand. Tayba previously served as CEO of ADNOC Sour Gas (2020-2023), establishing the company as a reliable and competitive gas supplier.
In 2018, she made history as ADNOC’s first female CEO of an ADNOC Group company when she was appointed CEO of Al Yasat Petroleum Operations Company. Throughout her career at ADNOC, she has held senior leadership roles in Upstream, including Senior Vice President, Undeveloped Reservoirs, and Senior Vice President, Exploration, where she played a pivotal role in unlocking new reserves and restructuring exploration strategies.
Tayba also chairs the ADIPEC conference and serves on the boards of ADNOC Logistics & Services, ADNOC Onshore, Al Yasat Petroleum, and several other energy and academic institutions. A Chemical Engineering graduate from UAEU, she is a strong advocate for gender balance and a member of multiple industry committees, including the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
