As the Group Chief Executive Officer of First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB)—the UAE’s largest financial institution and one of the world’s most secure banks with over USD 300 billion in assets—Hana Al Rostamani is a formidable force in global finance. With over 25 years in banking and financial services, Hana’s journey is marked by transformative leadership. Since becoming GCEO in January 2021, she has steered FAB’s growth and digital transformation, drawing on extensive experience from her previous roles as FAB’s Deputy GCEO and Head of Personal Banking. Prior to her time at FAB, Hana held influential roles at First Gulf Bank, Citibank, and the AW Rostamani Group, building a global perspective and vision that she now brings to her leadership at FAB.
Beyond the boardroom, Hana is Chair of the Global Council on the Sustainable Development Goals, championing the goal of Affordable and Clean Energy. She is also a board member of several organizations, including Buna, a cross-border payment system of the Arab Monetary Fund, and the Institute of International Finance. Her academic achievements include a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Information Management from George Washington University.
