Dr. Kasia Sterriker stands out as a pioneer at the intersection of art and environmental science. Originally from Poland and driven by her dual passions as both artist and scientist, she has earned two PhDs in environmental engineering and landscape architecture. Early in her career, she served as a university lecturer, developed patented materials, and managed urban planning projects, establishing a foundation for her current role as a renowned environmental artist and biophilic designer.
Her inspiration traces back to her father, an international bonsai master, whose influence nurtured her love for nature and art. Growing up in a home filled with bonsai and a nursery, she honed her creativity and skill, blending her father’s traditional approach with her modern interpretations of bonsai and environmental art.
Dr. Sterriker’s work is unique in its use of organic materials, creating art that not only beautifies spaces but also promotes wellness by connecting people to nature. Her designs optimize aesthetics and support the mental and physical well-being of those who experience them, transforming indoor and outdoor spaces into havens of natural beauty.
Now, alongside her husband, Paul Sterriker, Dr. Sterriker is establishing her environmental art business in Dubai. Her vision is to inspire others in the region to appreciate and adopt environmental art, enhancing public and private spaces throughout the Emirates. Committed to sustainability, she also fundraises for environmental organizations and collaborates with NGOs, striving to make a lasting impact on the community and the planet.
