Noor Sweid is the Founder and Managing Partner of Global Ventures, a UAE-based international venture capital firm with a presence in Cairo, Jeddah, Riyadh, Tunis, and Lagos. Prior to founding Global Ventures, she was the Chief Investment Officer at The Dubai Future Foundation and Managing Partner at Leap Ventures.
Noor’s career spans across multiple successful ventures. She scaled her family business, Depa (NASDAQ: DEPA.DU), tenfold, executing four cross-border acquisitions and leading the region’s first IPO on the LSE and NASDAQ Dubai, achieving a billion-dollar valuation. She also founded ZenYoga, MENA’s first yoga studio, which became the region’s largest wellness chain before a successful exit to a private equity firm.
Noor serves as Chairwoman of MEVCA and sits on the boards of several prominent organizations, including MIT Sloan, Arrow Labs, Proximie, and Clue. Recognized in Forbes’ World’s Top 50 Women in Tech and Arabian Business’ 100 Most Powerful Arab Women, she has also received the Arab Woman Award for Finance.
Noor holds bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Economics from Boston College and an MBA from MIT Sloan.
