On March 4th, 2024, Sheikha Adana Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Directors at Jordan Kuwait Bank, following a decision by the bank’s Board. Expressing her gratitude for the trust placed in her, Sheikha Adana emphasized her pride in the bank’s accomplishments, particularly in 2023, and highlighted the importance of continued collaboration between the Board and Executive Management to drive future success.
Sheikha Adana is a highly accomplished leader with a diverse portfolio of roles across prominent organizations. She has served on the Board of Directors of Kuwait Projects Company Holding (KIPCO) since 2020 and became CEO in 2022, leading KIPCO, one of the largest diversified holding companies in the Middle East and North Africa. Under her leadership, KIPCO has maintained a strong position in the region, with investments in over 60 companies across 24 countries.
In addition to her work with KIPCO, Sheikha Adana is a founding partner and Chair of the Board of Trustees at the American University in Kuwait and holds the Chair of the Board of Directors at United Education Company. She is also the Chair of Panther Media (OSN) and serves on the boards of other key organizations, including Gulf Insurance Group and Kamco Invest-Kuwait.
Sheikha Adana holds a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Kuwait University and was awarded an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters from Dartmouth University, USA. Recognized for her leadership, she was included in Forbes Middle East’s list of the 100 most powerful businesswomen for 2024.
