Sima Ganwani Ved is the Founder and Chairwoman of the UAE-based Apparel Group, a multi-billion-dollar retail empire spanning 85+ prestigious brands across 2,300+ stores in 14 countries, supported by over 24,000 employees. Under her leadership, Apparel Group has become one of the largest retailers in the Middle East, earning her numerous accolades, including Philanthropreneur of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Emirates Woman of the Year.
Originally from Africa, Sima moved to Dubai in the 1970s with her entrepreneurial father, where she later pursued education in the UK, earning a degree from King’s College London and an MBA in Business Management. At just 20 years old, she began her business career as Department Manager at her father’s mall, cementing her commitment to business excellence.
Beyond her business success, Sima is a mentor to her daughters, helping them launch F5 Global, a brand that donates 100% of profits to children’s education, and NESSA, a social e-commerce beauty platform. She is also an active member of global organizations like YPO and CEO.
A creative and dynamic individual, Sima also ventured into writing, TV hosting, and acting, with her own show Hi Tea with Sima Ved and award-winning plays. As an advocate for female empowerment, she continues to inspire others with her leadership, compassion, and vision for a brighter future.
