Under the luminous embrace of the golden sun, weaving its brilliance across the expansive canvas of Brahman Baria, Anika Rashid’s tale unfolds. She is a girl with cloudy hair and a heart ablaze with ambition, her eyes carrying the illusion of boundless possibilities. She is not an ordinary girl, in this country of millions dreaming and yearning; she is a unicorn among 185 million Bengali.
She grew up in the mid-’80s, before the enormous social media craze of today. While Asia was inspired by Bollywood movies and had little access to global culture, festivals in the Southeastern skies were painted with dazzling hues.
Anika’s journey started from an early age, seeing her motherâs magazines collection, where her every dress was custom-tailored, each dress reflecting her unique personality and still tinged with the hue of baby pink, as it was her favorite color.
After high school, Anika pursued her interest in fashion; it wasnât an easy journey to begin with, as on that time, fashion education in Asia was not a proper education or career to count on, but Anika found BUFT in Bangladesh, ( BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology ) the first fashion academic organization in the country to begin with, her hard work and skill earned her a scholarship, sending her to Germany to study Product Design at Hochschule FĂŒr Gestaltung Offenbach in Frankfurt, year 2006. Thereafter, she moved to the United Kingdom at University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN), where her talents grew under the tutelage of industry leaders. Anika gained Immersive experiences working with major fashion brands globally such as Banana Republic, Tom Tailor, New Yorker, Zara, Mister*Lady, River Island, Debenhams, Sfera, and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Anika established herself in the worldwide fashion industry working with global fashion brands/companies. In that journey, her world wide exposure was enormous. She participated in major exhibits such as the âTendence lifestyleâ in Frankfurt (2006), the âTex Worldâ in Paris (2007), the âSIMM fairâ in Madrid (2008), the âGlobal fairâ in DĂŒsseldorf (2008), and the âBread & Butter exhibitionâ in Barcelona (2008). Anika is also known as a freelancer for many Asian & European brands, as in fashion consulting, styling, campaigning, Authoring & editorial projects.

In 2017, she discovered her business ideas & found a new passion to work on, Anika’s accumulated experiences shaped her into the influential force she is today in the dynamic world of fashion.
Anikaâs inspiration was drama and fantasy, a passion for handcrafted art creation, we call it couture in fashion. A love for creation. Her aspirations materialized with the launch of her brand: ANIKAIRES. overcoming local setbacks, and on going experimenting on sourcing & manufacturing in many countries, she discovered the secret to breathe life into her dresses. ANIKAIRES, unveiled in 2018, is a prestigious couture collection that officially launched in London, 2019 by showcasing in â The National Wedding Show â The limited-edition designs by the theme of ROYALTY showcase silhouettes and backtracks, each ensemble narrating its own fairytale.
ANIKAIRES extends a warm invitation to explore its exclusive collection, a testament to bespoke gown craftsmanship for the discerning customer. The unique pieces are showcased at the gallery in London & Dubai.
The process of making each bespoke couture creations is a personalized journey where clients’ specifications shape the garment, every dress is tailored for special occasions & itâs just 1 master piece.
The couture experience is an immersive and captivating process that invites clients to embrace the roots of their style. ANIKAIRES caters to diverse preferences, from brides to celebrities, each gown bearing Anika Rashid’s unique touch. The collection includes corset gowns for the epitome of form and nude skin gowns, a remarkably romantic allure.
Anika Rashid’s meticulous curation extends globally, handpicking fabric, trim varieties from different countries, defining the distinctive hallmark of ANIKAIRES’ gowns. Precision is evident in designs with intricate hand sequin work. The journey from conceptualization to the establishment of a gown unfolds over an average span of 30 to 90 days, ensuring meticulous attention to detail synonymous with the ANIKAIRES brand.
Anika is dedicated to sharing her knowledge to fashion academic organizations around the world, working with Pearl Fashion Institute, International Academy of Fashion, De Montfort University, and the edition of Fashion Master Class.
ANIKAIRES collections is now officially in Dubai, most notably at the Dubai Design District (via Designer 24 online and Designers & US in-store). Anika’s relationship with customers flourished in UAE, notably at D3 & In5 Design, where she was pleased to be the first Bangladeshi designer to join this prestigious fashion and creative community.
Currently residing in Dubai, UAE. Anika has a vision to continue showcasing her talent globally, a testament to her enduring influence. In 2024 Anika released her first collection on little one, we call it BARBIE. following the trend. In this collection the dresses will be for adults & youngsters.
