Yasmine Idriss, a Saudi woman, has embarked on an extraordinary journey to bike around Iceland’s Ring Road, a nearly 1,400 km road encircling the country. Inspired by a dream, Yasmine saw herself surrounded by breathtaking landscapes in Iceland, and now she’s determined to turn that vision into reality.As the first Arab and Saudi woman attempting this feat, Yasmine aims to inspire others to pursue their personal goals and dreams. She chose this challenging adventure to push herself to her limits, grow as an individual, and experience the raw beauty of nature.Setting off on her bike, carrying around 32 kg of camping gear and essentials, Yasmine plans to cover an average of 80 km daily over three weeks. However, the unpredictable Icelandic weather and harsh winds can present unexpected challenges, making the journey even more exciting and rewarding.Though new to biking, Yasmine prepared extensively, undergoing training sessions with a cycling coach and strength training to equip herself with the necessary skills.
