Despite her successful career in Monte Carlo’s property development sector, the onset of the pandemic prompted her to seek new horizons. While many industries faced closures and setbacks, the emirate’s resilient market continued to thrive, leading her to embark on a new chapter in her career. Joining haus & haus Group three years ago, Jana quickly rose through the ranks, specializing in luxury properties and earning a promotion to Associate Director. Her innate extroversion, ambition, and positive outlook define her approach to business, driving her to excel both individually and as a leader.

What led you to working in Dubai?
“I first came to Dubai ten years ago and experienced that huge ‘wow’ that a lot of people go through; I simply fell in love with the place. The vibe was so happy and helpful, the weather was amazing, and life just felt smoother thanks to the great customer service. At the time I was working in Monte Carlo with a property developer, but when the pandemic hit suddenly everything was closed and it was difficult to do business. But in Dubai things somehow managed to stay open and the real estate market kept going, which is why three years ago I took the leap and moved to the emirate to join haus & haus. I now specialise in luxury properties and am proud to say I was recently promoted to Associate Director.“
What keeps you motivated?
“I am full of purpose and was never a girl who could sit at home. I am ambitious and driven, but also creative. I currently manage a team of talented Off Plan consultants at haus & haus, and I am just as happy seeing them close great deals as when I make my own. There is really an amazing adrenaline rush when you make a client happy and the best thing about haus & haus is the company really values long-term relationships with both buyers and sellers.“

Give us a glimpse into your typical work week.
“We have a team meeting to discuss the plan for the week and talk about any deals in the pipeline, putting goals in place to keep us all focused. We also do regular project presentations and weekly training sessions where we learn from each other. Quite often I will visit a developer’s office to discuss new projects and get a feel for the locations and quality of upcoming properties. I also make sure to have some fun with my team or just catch up on how everyone is feeling, because this is a job where you need to stay excited and have lots of energy.“
Describe what it is like working in the emirate.
“It is very fast paced – put it this way, lazy people get weeded out quickly. But if you are ambitious and willing to put in the hours – especially when you work in the real estate industry – then Dubai can really change your life. There are simply so many opportunities here that you cannot get anywhere else – and if you are female, you will love how empowering it is to work here; the government does so much to promote women in leadership. Plus, thanks to the emirate’s visionary leadership, it is easy to get a visa, it feels very safe and secure, there is an incredible healthcare system, and in terms of technology, logistics, and infrastructure Dubai is really leading the world.“

“There is a genuinely friendly environment and a progressive company mindset when it comes to doing business – not to mention we have the support of a huge, highly professional in-house marketing team. Everyone here is dedicated and passionate about what they do, and they really obsess over the client experience. There is also such a supportive environment, and I can say as a woman the company offers a complete level playing field and everyone gets the same commission and opportunities for progression. Put simply, if you work hard, you get the rewards. Not to mention the fact we get to work in beautiful offices with all the latest technology, including a podcast suite.“
Tell us some highlights of your career and life in Dubai.
“Selling an AED 75 million penthouse, building my own brilliant team of agents, being able to buy the car I wanted, and my first property in Dubai all within a year of starting at haus & haus.“
