Wafa Al-Shamsi’s educational journey is a testament to her dedication to personal growth and academic excellence. She holds a Diploma in Business Management from Higher Technical Colleges in Dubai, a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Ajman, and a Master’s degree in Comprehensive Quality Management from the University of Al-Madina. Her pursuit of knowledge continues as she works towards completing her Ph.D. in Comprehensive Quality Business Management.
Currently serving as the Director of Community Happiness Management at the Humaid bin Rashid Al-Nuaimi Charity Foundation, Wafa Al-Shamsi is deeply committed to the Foundation’s mission of becoming one of the top charity organizations in the country. Her leadership and vision have played a pivotal role in advancing the Foundation’s goals.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Wafa Al-Shamsi is a passionate advocate for community engagement and development. She has dedicated her time to volunteering and has actively participated in numerous regional and international conferences. She has also taken on the crucial role of planning and overseeing the implementation of development initiatives for Emirati Women Leadership in the Emirate of Ajman.
Wafa Al-Shamsi’s commitment to empowering women extends to her role as a Member of the Board of Directors of Ajman Business Women. She is also a Member of the Emirates Federation for Women’s Sports and actively contributes to the Committee of the Sports Platform for Sports Programs and Activities. Her involvement in the High Committee for the Government Program Summer Happiness 2022 and the High Commission for National Sports Day further underscores her dedication to promoting well-being and sportsmanship in the community.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Wafa Al-Shamsi was honored by His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan for her advocacy on behalf of disputed governments in 2022. She received the prestigious Emirates Women Award for Community Work in 2022 from His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Additionally, she was recognized by Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Award for her innovative idea in housing maintenance in 2019. Her exceptional leadership qualities led to her nomination by His Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman as a member of the United Arab Emirates Council for Women’s Sports in 2022, representing the Emirate of Ajman at the national level.
Looking to the future, Wafa Al-Shamsi has ambitious plans in various areas of life and is committed to serving as a role model for women and future generations. She recently achieved a significant milestone by winning the award for the best summer program for the Ajman government in 2023. The fourth edition of the program, titled “Our Summer is Happiness,” was sponsored by the Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Executive Council, who recognized Wafa Al-Shamsi’s exceptional contributions.
In addition to her role in the summer program, Wafa Al-Shamsi managed the Ramadan Sports Council 2023, focusing on women’s sports and addressing challenges and ambitions within the activities of the Ajman government’s sports tournament during the holy month of Ramadan. These initiatives have contributed to the promotion of sports and community engagement in Ajman.
