Florence Pugh went for a sartorial sequel at Paris Fashion Week, and it’s sheer nostalgia.
On Wednesday, Pugh — who ruffled feathers with a sheer frock at Valentino’s haute couture fashion show last year — channeled her fashion rebel once more by wearing another sheer dress at the Italian fashion house’s fall/winter show in Chantilly, France.
The “Don’t Worry Darling” star rocked a flowy, lavender dress at the event. Pugh wore the ethereal, floor-length ensemble without a bra, leaving her breasts visible through the fabric.
Last July, the Oscar-nominated actress made waves when she donned a sheer, hot pink tulle dress by Valentino during an appearance at a fashion show in Rome, Italy. She wore the dress sans a bra, with her breasts showing through the gossamer fabric. Pugh took to Instagram to respond to criticism of the bold look.
“Listen, I knew when I wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it,” Pugh penned in a lengthy Instagram caption. “Whether it be negative or positive, we all knew what we were doing.”
Despite the anticipated scrutiny, the “Little Women” actress said “not a wink of me was nervous” to wear the provocative dress, and she credited the “very strong, powerful, curvy women” she grew up with for instilling this confidence.
“We were raised to find power in the creases of our body. To be loud about being comfortable,” Pugh said. “It has always been my mission in this industry to say ‘f— it and f— that’ whenever anyone expects my body to morph into an opinion of what’s hot or sexually attractive.”
