Saudi artist Ghadeer Hafez has carved a path of artistic excellence that has taken her work across the globe and established her as an ambassador of Saudi Arabian art. Over the past 23 years, Hafez has been at the forefront of the Saudi and international art scenes, making her mark as the first Saudi woman artist to exhibit her work in several countries, including the US, Italy, Kosovo, Albania, Macedonia, Turkey, Austria, China, and Egypt.Hafez’s paintings are characterized by bold compositions, vibrant colors, and an intellectual appeal. She uses art as a powerful medium of expression, conveying messages related to humanity and the interactions between individuals. Her works often revolve around social and humanitarian issues, reflecting her deep concern for the betterment of society.Drawing inspiration from her surroundings and interactions with people, Hafez creates unique and thought-provoking pieces of art. Her journey as an artist has been marked by numerous achievements and recognitions, and she has represented Saudi Arabia on prestigious global art platforms.In 2008, Hafez took an initiative to promote art in Saudi Arabia by establishing her own art center called “Ebda Al-Ghadeer.” Through this center, she aimed to educate and nurture a generation that appreciates art and understands its dimensions in a meaningful way. The center has been instrumental in producing talented artists, with over 3,700 women and 2,600 children benefiting from her teachings and participating in local exhibitions.Hafez’s artistic career has not been without challenges, especially as a woman in a society where the importance of art was not widely recognized. However, she persevered and succeeded in leaving her artistic mark on exhibitions, museums, and art scenes around the world. Her accomplishments include being internationally accredited in arts training from the Canadian International Center and serving as an international arbitrator for the arts in over 28 countries.While acknowledging the momentum in Saudi Arabia’s artistic movement, Hafez believes that more progress can be made by implementing laws and regulations to support artists and their works.
