In the heart of Paris, I swiftly climbed the ranks, taking on the role of salon manager at the young age of 21. “In Istanbul, my career took a pivotal turn. Intrigued by its status as an economic hub and a gathering place for renowned hairdressers worldwide, I collaborated with the legendary master colorist, Ilhan Kaymak. This experience completely transformed my approach to hairdressing, providing me with the essential keys, knowledge, and experiences to make a lasting impact in the industry.
Armed with this newfound expertise, I made the strategic choice to return to my roots in France and establish the Julie Damini Academy. With a focus on the ‘revolution of balayage,’ my training programs have gained recognition across Europe, reaching over 500 hair colorists in countries like France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy.” Julie shared when discussing a pivotal career moment in Istanbul, where she worked with master colorist Ilhan Kaymak.
