- What first sparked your interest in the tech industry, particularly in Web3, AI, and Blockchain?
My journey began when I saw a unique opportunity in the cryptocurrency space and enrolled in an intro computing coding course, where I quickly developed a passion for the potential and possibilities of coding and how it can transform abstract ideas into functional reality. While studying Public Relations and Digital Marketing – my interest in app and website development grew. I began working at various tech events and eventually became a board member of Women in Tech in Canada – to empower others, support them, advocate, and find solutions more effectively by having a seat at the table. The more I was exposed to Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence several years ago, I started seeing an opportunity in an area that had the mass potential to evolve, disrupt, and help revolutionize the world as we knew it.
I’ve always been mission-driven; captivated by the way technology could connect people and create endless possibilities. Discovering the transformative potential of AI and Blockchain, I became passionate about using these tools to empower communities and drive meaningful change in our world. I have the magnificent desire to drive innovation, push boundaries, solve problems, and reshape industries, while being at the forefront of a technological revolution.
I’ve always measured my life by the impact I’ve made in the lives of others, as evidenced by the “paying it forward” philosophy. My interest in blockchain technology began when I finally understood its potential: utilizing an underlying infrastructure to make tools universally accessible that would enable everyone to engage with finance in a way that’s not only more user-friendly but also quicker, more efficient, scalable, and secure. It’s genuinely a multi-dimensional approach to paying it forward. I began investing, trading and then angel investing as I became more familiar and captivated by the revolutionary potential of blockchain technology and artificial intelligence as we know it.
One of the greatest moments in my journey in blockchain was helping bring a Developer Conference to Abu Dhabi. This event attracted developers from across the globe to learn, collaborate, support, nurture skills development, and foster growth and innovation while creating a space where talent could genuinely flourish in the UAE. As I became more invested in the Web3 space, it was only a matter of time before I became a founding member of LIF3.com – the revolutionary consumer omni-chain DeFi ecosystem that operates on Lif3 Chain (Curated Layer-1), Ethereum, Polygon, BNB Chain, and Fantom to provide a more simplified, secure, and interactive user experience.
The “Lif3 Wallet” is available for download on both the App Store and Google Play. Additionally, LIF3 Chain provides a secure and curated Layer-1 for deploying smart contracts, minimizing the risks of unauthorized access and making blockchain technology accessible to everyone. The curated contract deployment process ensures only high-quality, vetted contracts are available, boosting trust and reliability in the ecosystem. This approach introduces the world’s first blockchain designed for public, permissionless use access and curated contract deployment setting a new industry standard.
- As a pioneer in the Web3 space, how do you define your role as a leader and visionary in this rapidly evolving industry?
I see myself as a catalyst for empowering individuals in this rapidly evolving industry. I define my role as guiding the ethical, transformative, consumer-driver and responsible development of Web3 technologies. In Web3, we have a unique opportunity to redefine how technology interacts with society and truly revolutionize the way we live, connect, and elevate our purchasing power as well as digital sovereignty. I aim to lead by encouraging others to explore, experiment, and contribute with a commitment to the greater good.
- Can you share some of your most significant achievements in the tech world that you are particularly proud of?
As an early-stage investor in multiple Web3 projects and unicorns, I’ve had the privilege of coordinating marketing and events, including multiple conferences and other significant industry gatherings. My journey includes playing a pivotal role in the success of Tomb.com, where our team scaled the market cap, taking TOMB from $0.02 to $3.80 USD, and TSHARE from $14.00 to $24,000 USD. My strategic thinking, focus on #TombTuesday community development, and targeted marketing were key to driving the success of Project Tomb – one of the most forked projects in DeFi to this day.
In addition to my work in Web3, I’m proud to have served in Women in Tech, advocating for greater inclusion and diversity in the industry. My passion for innovation extends to angel investing, where I seek to support groundbreaking ideas, identifying and invest in disruptive innovation across multiple sectors, including AI, blockchain, and beyond, focusing on the long-term impact of transformative technologies.
- In your opinion, what is the most transformative potential of Blockchain and AI technologies, and how do you see them shaping the future?
Blockchain and AI have the power to revolutionize how we trust, manage, and automate our world. Blockchain provides a secure and transparent way to own and transfer assets, while AI optimizes and automates processes like never before. Together, these technologies will transform global finance, democratize access to financial systems, and drive innovation across industries. They will create more inclusive economies and efficient infrastructures, reshaping how we interact with technology and with each other.
- As a mentor, how do you guide and support the next generation of tech leaders, particularly women and minorities?
I believe in the importance of transforming education. I recognize that augmented and virtual reality have the potential to revolutionize how we learn and interact with information.
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with VR Academi, a pioneering future learning center that integrates Immersive Reality, AI, and Robotics with Art and Design to empower students in the UAE and beyond.
At VR Academi, they are committed to not just teaching children, women, and families to consume technology, but to create and lead with it. This initiative is especially significant as it challenges the misconception that gaming and digital innovation are only for boys; however, girls, too, are avid gamers and creators. By expanding access to these vibrant fields, including for children of determination, they are positioning themselves at the forefront of the next digital revolution.
- How do you leverage your role in tech to empower others, especially women, to innovate and lead in the digital frontier?
I leverage my role in tech to create opportunities and resources that empower women to lead in the digital space. By advocating for financial literacy, fostering a culture of curiosity and innovation, and supporting visionary female entrepreneurs, I aim to ensure that women have the tools, confidence, and support they need to succeed. My focus is on building an inclusive environment where all voices can contribute to shaping the future of technology.
As a Woman in Web3, I passionately advocate for greater access to educational resources and leadership opportunities, fostering inclusivity, diversity, and thought leadership. I urge girls and women to embrace the vast opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We need more mentorship programs, networking platforms, and funding for startups globally. My journey in this space has led to financial freedom and success, and I encourage more women to dive in and seize the limitless possibilities. I’m proud that VR Academi is leading the charge by partnering with “Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah” to empower the next generation of women in STEM.
- Your work spans multiple industries and geographies. How do you manage to maintain a global perspective while also focusing on local impact?
Maintaining a global perspective means championing causes that resonate universally while deeply understanding the unique needs of local communities. From my early days working in government to now being involved in the tech space – I’ve always aspired to contribute to global innovation while profoundly touching lives locally. My work throughout my life has not just been about spanning industries and geographies, but about investing in the future, inspiring action, and creating lasting positive change.
- What advice would you give to aspiring entrepreneurs who want to break into the tech industry, particularly in emerging fields like Web3 and AI?
My advice to aspiring entrepreneurs is to embrace the limitless potential of emerging technologies like Web3 and AI. These innovations open doors to global markets and capital, empowering small businesses and startups to thrive through microtransactions and crowdfunding. In regions with limited access to financial services, cryptocurrencies can revolutionize economic growth by offering secure, cost-effective transactions and fostering financial inclusion. As you venture into the tech industry, focus on how these technologies can overcome local challenges, attract investments, and drive sustainable development. Always keep innovation at the forefront and remember that the opportunities in this space are boundless. The future is bright for those who utilize the power of these transformative technologies to create lasting impact.
- You have a unique edge in brand building. How do you translate traditional branding strategies into the digital and tech spaces?
In the digital and tech spaces, brand building is all about authenticity, innovation, and trust. I translate traditional branding strategies by focusing on clear, engaging storytelling that resonates with a tech-savvy audience. By staying transparent and true to our mission, we build a brand that inspires and connects with people across platforms. Whether it’s through direct engagement or showcasing our vision of the future, the key is to be relatable and consistent. In a rapidly changing landscape, it’s essential to communicate your values clearly, adapt quickly, and always lead with integrity.
- How do you incorporate your passion for philanthropy into your work in tech? Can you share an example where your tech initiatives have intersected with social causes?
I integrate my passion for philanthropy into my work in tech by focusing on innovations that drive social impact. For example, I’ve supported initiatives that use digital assets to promote financial inclusion, hosted “Women in Web3” panels and discussions on how to help close the gender gaps in political representation and financial literacy, economic participation and limited access to educational resources and services for many, especially women. I strive to focus on empowering underserved communities to gain financial independence. I strive to support tech advancements that not only push boundaries but also create meaningful, positive change in the world. My goal is to bridge the gap between innovation and social good, making sure that technology benefits everyone, everywhere.
- Where do you see the future of Web3 heading, and what role do you envision for yourself in shaping that future?
I see the future of Web3 as the dawn of a new digital renaissance—where creativity, ownership, and opportunity are decentralized and democratized. It’s a future where individuals are not just participants but co-creators of a digital economy that transcends borders and barriers. I envision myself as a catalyst for this transformation, bridging the gap between visionary ideas and tangible impact.
- You wear many hats – entrepreneur, investor, mentor, and philanthropist. How do you balance these roles while staying true to your core values?
I stay true to my values by always leading with integrity, being intentional with my time, and surrounding myself with those that share an aligned vision from a higher operation of consciousness focused on abundance, love and Christ-consciousness. Ultimately, it’s about making decisions that reflect who I am and what I stand for, allowing me to thrive in all these roles while making a meaningful difference.
- What essential qualities do you seek in tech startups that indicate potential success, especially within blockchain and AI?
A clear value proposition that provides a solution for a problem in the blockchain technology and AI sectors and beyond, scalable technology, commitment to innovation and excellence in mastering thought leadership, early adoption rates and a strong potential for ROI, an adaptable business model, safety and security measures in place, their commitment to abiding by all ethical, regulatory and jurisdiction considerations, a strong network and community, a sustainable monetization strategy, effective communication and synergy, financial prudence and most importantly – a strong leader with a team who share and are aligned with the vision and who stand for the essence of resiliency, tenacity, adaptability and those who have an exponential growth mindset vs. a linear perspective when it comes to embracing change.
- Given your association with women-focused organizations, what changes do you hope to see for women in the tech sectors?
As a Woman in Web3, I would love more access to educational resources and services and representation in more leadership positions to create inclusivity, diversity, and thought leadership. Additionally, I encourage more girls and women interested in pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to participate in the many opportunities available.
I would love to see an increase in mentorship programs, networking platforms, and more global funding for startups and entrepreneurs. I achieved more financial freedom and great success in this space. I encourage more women to learn and get involved to experience the unlimited possibilities and create an impact, as there are many possibilities in these emerging sectors. I love offering mentorship to anyone interested in learning more while remaining a life-long learner myself every day.
- What advice would you offer young entrepreneurs aiming to enter the blockchain and AI industries?
Results only show up if you do. The most important thing to do is to ‘show up.’ Collaborate, find a mentor, stay informed with the latest information and developments, ensure there’s a market need for your idea that focuses on how your solution can help solve a genuine problem, stay resilient and authentic to your brand, consider long-term scalability strategies, and cultural differences as well as continue to fail – because if you aren’t failing – you’re not being aggressive enough. Learn from those failures with diplomacy, humility, and resiliency to do better and be better today as you were yesterday – for tomorrow’s future.
Additionally, establishing trust and credibility is paramount when influencing potential investors. Guard your reputation. Furthermore, utilize compelling narratives, data-driven results, and personalized pitches that resonate deeply while having consistent engagement and transparency to lay the foundation for long-term partnerships and friendships. Always remain proactive, reactive, and adaptive – while staying true to who you are and what your brand stands for.
- What inspired you to start your own company or venture in this industry?
I’ve always yearned to create something that will propel me out of bed in the morning and build something that brings purpose, joy, and fulfillment led by my values and sustained through my goal. Since I was 13 years old, I’ve volunteered and worked in government as a legislative aide and writing speeches for politicians – this was my way of contributing to society and my community. As I grew older, I first ventured into the finance space, working at an investment firm as an analyst, then as a finance reporter in Canada, followed by starting my own communications company, “CEPR” – helping all kinds of entrepreneurs “breathe life into their brand.” I am incredibly passionate about assisting startups in creating cutting-edge ideas and executing results-driven campaigns designed to elevate business profiles, attract investment, establish credibility, and increase brand awareness. When I invest, it’s not just for monetary gain but for return on impact.
- Looking back on your journey, what legacy do you hope to leave in the tech industry, and what message would you like to pass on to future generations?
I aim to help craft a Web3 landscape that is as dynamic and limitless as the people who inhabit it. I want to leave a legacy of empowerment, innovation, and inclusivity. I hope to be remembered not just for advancing technology but for ensuring that its benefits reach everyone, no matter their background or where they’re from. I aim to be a catalyst for change—someone who bridged the gap between visionary ideas and real-world impact, helping to create a more equitable digital economy. My legacy will be about nurturing future leaders, supporting ethical innovation, and building a world where technology uplifts and connects communities, leaving a lasting positive impact on society.
