Sara’s journey began with her studies at the United Arab Emirates University, where she graduated with honors in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote Sensing. She also studied Leadership and Communication, learning important skills to help her lead and communicate effectively. Sara continued her education with a postgraduate diploma in UAE Diplomacy and International Relations from the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy. She is now pursuing a Master’s degree in Sustainability at Harvard University Extension School showing her commitment to understanding and solving global environmental issues.
A Career in Diplomacy
For five years, Sara has worked at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she has taken on many important roles. She is currently an Information Analysis Specialist in the office of HE Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State. In this role, she oversees critical political and economic issues for countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Sara’s work has also involved helping the UAE in its efforts to host COP28, a major international conference on climate change. She also earned the 3rd place in the Minister of Foreign Affairs Excellence Award.
Representing Youth and Climate Change
Sara is a pivotal member of the Arab Youth Council for Climate Change, where she works to bring young people together to advocate climate change. She has represented the UAE at important international events like COP26, COP27, COP28, the United Nations General Assembly, and the BRICS’s Youth Summit. Her involvement in these events highlights her dedication to addressing global environmental challenges.
Entrepreneurial Spirit and Innovation
Sara is not only a diplomat but also an innovative entrepreneur. She developed a project called the “Smart Submarine,” which earned her UAE University Chancellor’s Innovation Award in 2016. Since the age of 22, she has successfully managed her own business ventures and invested in real estate. Sara’s entrepreneurial spirit shows that she is always looking for new ways to make a positive impact. “In my self-discovery journey, I have discovered that a person can become who they want to be instead of wasting time on asking who they are.” says Sara.

As a social media influencer with over 70,000 followers, Sara uses her platform to educate and inspire others about sustainable practices. She is the founder of “Taameer,” an initiative to raise awareness about sustainability, and hosts a talk show/Podcast called “Sustainability Through Generations.” Through her online presence, Sara shares valuable information and encourages her followers to live more sustainably.
Breaking Stereotypes
Sara is also known for her hobbies that break traditional stereotypes. She enjoys fashion design and holds a diploma in this field. Additionally, she loves boxing and horse riding, which are activities not commonly associated with Emirati, Arab, Hijabi women. By engaging in these sports, Sara shows that women can pursue any interest they are passionate about, regardless of societal expectations.
