A mother cum prominent entrepreneur, Haseena Nishad is forging ahead with steadfast steps, redefining success and materializing phenomenal feats. A lightning woman who handles over seven thousand employees in the office and four children in the family well at the same time. Haseena Nishad is the Managing Director of World Star Holdings, a UAE – based company. The Kerala-Kannur native is making success stories in the Gulf in business along with household things.
When she arrived in the UAE in 2008 after graduation and marriage, Haseena was preparing to become a good housewife like her sisters. She had never dreamed at the time that she would first become an assistant to her businessman husband Nishad Hussain and eventually step into the business world as the MD of a large company.
“Ever since I came to the UAE, I have been hearing from my husband every day about the company’s activities, so I have learned about business strategies and the issues we face in it while caring for my children,” Haseena told to Gulf Today.
In 2014, when all her children started going to school, Haseena joined her husband Nishad in the business world.
“While studying, I always wanted to work in the future. After marriage, those desires were unhindered because I received full support and encouragement from my husband,” she added.
“Anyway, my degree was in Commerce and I am glad I was able to do justice to the subject I studied.

The World Star Holding Company set a new record this year by installing free Wi-Fi and television screens in the workers buses. The project was started to alleviate the mental stress among the workers.
Haseena Nishad said that the time available on the journey to and from the construction sites workers can be used to communicate with families through video calls and enjoy music videos displayed on television screens to calm the mind and transform them into better workers.
In the first phase, the company launched 6 new high-tech labour buses with air conditioning. She said that by 2025, the system will be available in all buses.
Currently, there are about 200 buses in the UAE, exclusively for workers.

Haseena’s company has set up a spacious facility in Sharjah-Sajja with state-of-the-art facilities to provide better training and classes to the workers.
The signature of this Kerala Kannur Kannadipparambu native has been imprinted in many revolutionary development activities in the UAE. Thousands of World Star workers are involved in the construction of the Dubai Expo 2020, Future Museum, Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, Dubai Metro, Dubai Frame and more.
Hundreds of World Star workers are currently working in various parts of the country for Etihad Rail, one of the largest projects in the UAE.
” During the lockdown, when many companies did not pay their workers and many people’s salaries were slashed, we paid the workers properly and were able to employ about two thousand people from outside during the Covid.
Also, we learned a lot during this Covid period, and when we had to find new online systems we made major technical changes. “
Many companies in many sectors have suffered major setbacks and closures. At the same time, Our company has been able to grow by following the COVID-19 guidelines and protocols .”
” As we could keep covid not affect our construction works, we were very active in the business during the lockdown.
Regular PCR tests were performed and special facilities were set up to quarantine sick workers.
Pandemic did not affect us significantly as we ensured that our staff strictly followed the guidelines. We did not lay off anyone or reduce the salaries of our employees and vaccinated everyone.”
Haseena gave birth to her fourth child during the Pandemic. She decided that she would never compromise on her dream of having a happy family.
“I have never failed to spend time with my children. I always attended in all their school programs and caring them in their studies. At the same time, I do not compromise on business matters when I focus on them. If we have the confidence and honesty to face anything, we can lead a successful family life and business together. “
