Inspired by her husband and brother-in-law, she embarked on a new venture and founded her own real estate company. Despite the challenges that come with starting a business, Yasmin’s firm flourished rapidly, surpassing a billion dirhams in sales in a remarkably short span of time. Her company forged strong partnerships with prestigious developers such as Emaar, Nakheel, and Damac, solidifying its position in the industry.
However, life threw Yasmin a curveball when she gave birth to her third son, who was diagnosed with Down syndrome. The challenges of raising a child with special needs led her to reevaluate her priorities. Yasmin decided to step away from her thriving real estate business, which was facing a significant crisis at the time. It was then that she remembered her long-held dream of establishing a health club and spa.
On her birthday in November 2011, Yasmin’s vision came to life as she founded the Morning Glory Health Club & Medical Spa, the first and only establishment of its kind exclusively for women. Offering a comprehensive range of services, including a health club, spa, salon, and oriental bath, Morning Glory quickly gained a reputation for excellence. Although others attempted to replicate her concept, Yasmin had already made her mark on the market.
The success of Morning Glory continued to grow, prompting Yasmin to open a second branch in the prestigious Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) in 2019. However, like countless businesses worldwide, the COVID-19 pandemic dealt a severe blow. Yasmin was forced to make difficult decisions, closing the second branch and scaling back operations at the first. Nevertheless, the unprecedented lockdown period provided her with a unique opportunity to pursue a long-standing ambition – writing her first book, “Queen’s Secrets.” The book delves into the timeless beauty rituals of ancient queens from various countries that Yasmin had personally experienced during her extensive travels.
Two years after the pandemic, Yasmin made a conscious effort to reduce her involvement in Morning Glory, as the business was already well-established and running smoothly. Capitalizing on her increased availability, she once again delved into the world of real estate, launching a new venture. Her three boys had grown up, affording her more time to focus on her professional pursuits.
Reflecting on her journey, Yasmin expresses deep gratitude for the opportunities and environment that Dubai has provided her as a woman. She firmly believes in the power of women and strives to showcase to the world that being a wife or mother should never hinder a woman from pursuing her dreams.
