H.E. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, affirmed that young people represent a powerful force in the development of societies, thanks to their energy, ambitious ideas, and strong capacity for creativity and innovation. The wise leadership has recognised the importance of investing in youth and has worked to encourage them to participate in driving positive change and enhancing community wellbeing.
She noted that International Youth Day is a special occasion to celebrate the contributions of the future-makers, strengthen their active presence, and provide opportunities that enable them to turn their aspirations into reality.
She said: “This year’s theme, ‘Different Contexts, Shared Aspirations,’ and the messages it conveys reflect the reality of young people around the world. They are united by shared aspirations for knowledge, education, employment, and access to a supportive environment for growth and development—one that gives them the opportunity to contribute to development and shape the future.”
She added: “With its forward-looking vision, the wise leadership has been committed to empowering young people and encouraging them to contribute to the journey of development. Dubai Culture continues to follow this approach by launching distinctive projects and programmes that help young people hone their talents and open wide spaces for expression, dialogue, and knowledge exchange. This enables them to enrich the cultural landscape and support the development of a sustainable creative economy.”
